7:31 PM - C'mon, seriously...pick it up and quit constantly setting up week after week. We get it, this may or may not be a big deal...
7:45 - Thank you. Wait, whoa, confusion and whatnot. Where is this going?
7:54 - Wha...hmm, Gabriel? Got 'em cornered, eh? Drop that religious justice and place the fear in that dude...OMG!!

Man...part of me was hoping that Negan's voice was gonna come through on that radio at the end.
What a dark episode. Love the direction the story is taking in the sense of moving the story forward, this is setting up for a huge encounter when this group finally meets Negan. This is gonna be great!

Did anyone else think Abraham had left the group, and was surprised to see him on the raid? Took me a minute to realize he was just leaving the chic. And man, that was a cold way to drop her!
Is it just me or is Morgan gone from being a really cool character to a lame boat anchor? I dread every time he opens his mouth now.
Was that really Glen's first human kill? I thought he was just playing it up beforehand for the other guy, but he seamed legit when he plunged the knife.
Overall a really good episode.

Did anyone see that dude laughing when he handed over the head after the guy made the head talk and they changed angles?

I thought the exact same thing on Abraham - that threw me off for a second when he suddenly appeared in the raid. Speaking of Abraham... does anyone else think that he looks exactly like a 90's James Hetfield?
Overall, that was my favorite episode of this season so far. Can't wait to see how all of this plays out. They haven't even encountered Negan yet, can't imagine he's going to be a ray of sunshine.

Abraham reminds me more of the Viking characters from Clash of Clans.

I thought Abraham saying that when he met her he thought she was the only woman on earth was a dead give away and a really cold way of ending things with Rosita.
I agree on Morgan, I just don't see how this angle can play out.
You would have thought Glenn would have killed someone when the Governor attacked the prison, but I guess he was knocked out fairly quick wasn't he?
I agree good episode and I love this change in Gabriel.

Yeah, I get the strategy behind killing them in their sleep. However it just doesn't sit well with me. They are going and killing an entire group based upon one holdup attempt, and the word of another group they just met.
And that they wanted Jesus' leader's head is somewhat telling of who may be the bigger threat.
This compound also looked pretty small; like perhaps this is just the staging area where they get people to bring stuff, and the real settlement is somewhere else. Just thinking of what the guy said just before Gabriel killed him; something about their blood will be spilled.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too -- that the satellite place is just a small part of Negan's much bigger operation. And he is gonna come at Rick and Co. with fury when he finds out about this.

Couple of odd things. First, how do you let the guy you've just stabbed multiple times pull that alarm? He goes on the ground.
Second, they apparently took all night dealing with this, coming out in the morning with the sun well up... looking through cars, presumably they loaded up the guns... in all that time no one thought to say, "hey... where are Carol and Maggie"?

Neat little side tidbit.
Johnny Depp was one of those heads!
Quote:
Johnny Depp made an appearance on last night's episode of The Walking Dead, but the actor probably wasn't aware of it.
Greg Nicotero, famed visual effects designer and sometimes director on the series, told Entertainment Weekly that when they were looking to sculpt a new head for the episode, they used Depp's as a mold to work on.

what, no George Bush prop head this time? or they should have used a different president, as a shot across HBO's bow that they mean business.
I can't decide who gets the gold star this week, Gabriel with the Boondock Saints execution prayer, or Eugene as the cookie munching doorway voyeur.

Well in their defense, the group that tried to hold up Darryl and co. were literally seconds from killing them off.

between the biker bazooka and the radio dish raid, they must have taken out between 20-30 of Negan's men by now. if Alexandria or the Hilltop took those kinds of losses, they would be completely toast. how big is this opposing force they're dealing with?

That didn't even occur to me; the only thing running through my head was "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men..."

Morgan has gotten beyond annoying.
You know what Morgan? Get lost. Good luck giving everyone out there every advantage. Its super easy when you're only concerned about someone else's life, not even your own.
Your buddy stickboy? He died because you were weak.
Rick has to take care of not just himself, but his kids and everyone else at Alexandria.
I had hoped that after the mid-season premiere that Morgan had sacked up a bit in the vein of Eugene and Gabriel but he's still on his 'every life is precious look at my stick' kick.
Did he not see where his little hippie mantra got him last time?
And that guy was genuine and honest in his admission that given half a chance he'd kill Morgan and everyone else. Anyone even marginally more duplicitous would have destroyed Morgan and the rest of them.
And the award goes to Gabriel! Boondock Saints style!

and I just realized, there's already a MacManus brother on site!
one more thing...are the Wolves done? or are they gonna come back and be a wild card? they seemed to be some sort of weird feral group that doesn't participate in the local economy, yet they're organized enough to set up elaborate zombie truck traps. I'd be perplexed if they ended up being nothing since it took so long to set them up.
