My eye roll was that total anti climatic rescue of the people in the building. Totally reminded me of that Simpsons episode where Marge became a cop and random people were jumping out of stupid places.
Building full of zombies, but guy is half hiding behind a push chair? Why were they in there in the first place? Some guy looks like a zombie but Abraham pauses to make sure for a good 3 seconds? Then suddenly the scene was over.
I like the show but that was probably the worst filmed segment ever, and that is saying something.

I have Shaw and I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem. For three straight weeks my recording of TWD has been corrupted with a screen full of coloured shapes and I also lose audio. It's annoying because I generally start watching about 30 minutes after the show starts and then watch TWD and TTD back to back. Three weeks I've had to search for and record a later showing.

I have Shaw, and like you I have to watch it later in the evening on PVR.
To date I have never had any problems like what you are describing.

Liked the episode overall and the direction things are going.
However, that part really reminded me of a video game. You kill the bad guys and then touch the helpless victim who is half hiding in open site. Was expecting a 2000 point bonus to pop out of the guy behind the chair when someone approached him and then see him scuttle off into nothingness.

It it only TWD at that certain time?
I used to get that problem but with all my recordings. Turned out my PVR was dying.

No other programs are affected in this way, except Talking Dead immediately after. This week's Talking Dead was fine but the two before that were also corrupted.

Try doing a hard reboot on your PVR (i.e. unplug it for 30 seconds and then plug it back in).
I was having a problem with a lot of dropouts like that in recordings a year or so ago, especially on the eastern Fox feed, and unplugging it for a while seemed to fix whatever its problem was. It may have been a coincidence, but that seemed to be what it needed.

I've had similar issues with my pvr, it's my second, first one went back on warranty for similar issues. If it's a 630 they don't seem to be a very good pvr. Mine gets stuck when i rewind quite often, which really sucks cause you have to shut down and rewatch ffwd back to your spot. and then there are the random shutdown/resets that happen in the middle of a show.
Wish I had the budget for a new one.

Thanks, guys. Didn't mean to turn this into a tech discussion. Back to zombies and the Rick-Michone affair.

I didn't mind the episode, but I agree the part where the trailer got stuck and then Jesus just happened to realize that they were there... that was corny. However, that is the type of thing you would see in a comic book caption, so it makes sense in that context.

It was incredibly corny, but I think thats something you're either just going to have to get used to or call it a series.
They cant just keep constantly tormenting Rick without some levity.
Even in that last episode Rick stabbed a dude through the throat and then was like.."What?"

That's just terrible, not levity.
Levity is a joke or a quip or a prat fall. That was mind-jarred-out-of-the-show-because-it-was-so-terrible.
I looked at my wife and we turned it off.

The blood on Rick's face following the fight, was an image ripped from the comics. The comics is written in that style, almost like a Frank Miller novel, where they have jarring imagery stilled in during an action scene.
The show has stated they plan to to follow the comics a lot more, so a lot more of those types of images will be seen going forward.

You guys probably should delete those posts; they're pretty strict on the comics stuff. Basically it appears to be a "what comics; there are no comics" approach.

I'm looking forward to tonight's episode. We've had two slower 'development' episodes in a row, but at the end of last week's episode everyone loaded into an RV to ride off to war on the wings of Winnebago-Valkyries!

As long as there are no comic specific spoilers I don't understand what the problem is with even acknowledging that the TV show is in fact based on comics.

To clarify, there is a very fine line between discussing the similarity between the comics and the past TV shows, and giving away a spoiler. That is why we have repeatedly said to treat this thread as if the comics do not exist.
Yes, there will be scenes that are a an attempt to capture what was in the comics. Like when we first meet Abraham et al, that scene was from the comics.
Personally I just accept that anything too cheesy in the show is something from the comic, and accept it. A basic explanation of Rick's "what" moment is OK. However if ever in doubt, please don't mention the comics at all.
