Only somewhat surprising name is Vlasic, thought he'd be on the team didn't think he'd be one of the first 4 d-men named.

Hall should petition to be allowed to play with the U23 team.

I don't understand the Vlasic pick. Forget Flames players, there are probably half a dozen other guys I'd put on there before him.

Vlasic was great in the Olympics, and is having another solid season. Not surprised at all.

Is Monahan the only member of Team NA who currently wears a letter in the NHL? On my first glance, he appears to be.

Just winning a cup doesn't mean you possess leadership qualities. I'd say the fact he's won a cup is largely irrelevant.

Also, is it just me, or are all the F spots on these teams comprised of mostly Cs?

Do you judge defensemen mostly on points?

So? This is basically the 2014 Olympic roster plus Seguin. That team was more than fine. Most centers can play the wing easily.

Maybe half a dozen is an exaggeration, but I've just never been a big fan of his.

Also think their maybe something to not naming 3 Flames in the preliminary roster for this tournament.

Vlasic is a solid pick and hes got Team Canada pedigree.

Yes. Just like the last iteration of Team Canada in the 2014 Olympics.

Again, he was a pretty big part of Canada's dominant Olympic team in 2014. He was pretty much a lock to be back. He'll probably be Drew Doughty's partner again too.
