One of the greatest mysteries in Calgary Flames' history: Why the hell doesn't Burke tie his ties? Laziness? Trolling? Doesn't know how?

He does it to make a point that he's a grumpy old man that doesn't like ties. Instead of just not wearing one, which no one would care about, he makes a scene about how much he hates them.
It's embarrassing.

I don't think it's embarrassing. Its just Burkie being Burkie. He knows it annoys some people, so he does it on purpose just to keep annoying. I actually think the whole thing is pretty funny and hope he continues with it. I like the grumpy old guy look for Burke. Works well for him.

Yah, I've always kind of worried about Burke and how red he seems to be all the time. Is it a health thing, or is it the Roger Millions too close to the sun thing?

I always thought the hair and tie were on purpose. To spite the media guys more than anything. I think the tie thing is a tad costume-y for my tastes but it is what it is. You don't have to like it. And if you don't and it really grinds your gears, it's serving it's purpose.
