I love the Stockton play by play guy haha he's really enthusiastic
They like messing around with his sound clips on the 960 morning show
Sometimes he is a bit over the top, but I can accept that from him since he actually knows what he is talking about and really knows the game. Now if he were one of these over the top announcers that also doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground, it would be unbearable.

Stockton is looking pretty good as of late. Finally over 0.500 and have steadily climbed the standings. Theres even a longshot chance that they make the playoffs.

At the end of January they were close to the playoffs, 4th in the Pacific but behind the 5th place team in the central. They have since fallen to 6th in the Pacific due to being 5-5-0 in February. They do still have 3 games in hand on San Diego, San Jose and Bakersfield, so if they can win those they would actually only be a single point out (points work in this case since it is San Jose they would be 1 point behind) in the Pacific.
Nhl should exclude teams eliminated from the playoffs from this rule.
Wont be much longer before the math kills us.
Without kids playibg for the Flames my mind will be on the Heat and draft.
There may only be 4 call ups, but emergency call ups have no limit.
The funny thing about teams that are out of it, is that vets who get dinged a bit are much more likely to sit out due to injury than if their team was actually in a race for anything but a better draft position.
That's what this rule is made to prevent. NHL teams bleeding the farm dry and making the AHL product crap.
I'd like it if the rule for the regular season was the same as the playoffs, where you can't have more than 3/4 players on regular recalls on your roster at any one time, but you can switch your recalled players as many times as you want.
That would allow teams to give different players time in the NHL without dismantling the AHL roster.
