I gotta say the Flames did good in calling up Hathaway. I was hoping he'd get the call when Bouma was hurt just to see if he could bring his preseason play to the regular season. I think he's a UFA at seasons end right?

Backlund should have dumped at the beginning of that sequence. Lost it at the other blue line and took himself out of the play.

eh. I hope Hathaway keeps it up, but you ALWAYS see this kind of performance out of a fresh call up. The real measure of a guy is how he performs once he figures he has settled in to the team. I'd like to see the Flames have a roster spot where they could constantly threaten a bottom guy with a fresh call up to steal their job from them

OK. Same power play as before, just shoot the puck with traffic instead of looking for the wide open net.

Try Hathaway on the second unit.
