I thought I saw a report that Kulak and Hathaway were both travelling with the team. No call up for kulak? I wonder if we had another deal for a defenseman to be cleared out and it didn't go through?
I'm pretty interested in what Hathaway could bring! Seems like a good energy guy.

Nice. I've been wanting to see this guy since training camp. Loved his game. I'd expect him to bring fast skating, size, hitting, hustle, not bad hands.
Makes sense with him being a right shooting right wing. We lost two RWs in the past 3 days.

I think us getting Jokipakka meant we didn't need Kulak. If you traded Russell for picks/prospects then you'd call up Kulak.

Perhaps acquiring Jokipakka scuppered the need for a Kulak recall.

Excellent. Looking forward to seeing what he can do.
That would suck for Kulak to fly all the way across the country waiting for a call-up and then not get it because the Flames got a d-man back for Russell.
With Granlund, Hudler, and Jones all going out in the last couple of weeks, I assume we'll see a couple more forwards called up soon.

Hamilton is playing C. Agostino is a LW.
Hathaway is a right shooting RW.

Treliving confirms on 960 this counts as one of the 4 recalls.
He also says there are a number of players on Stockton that deserve the opportunity to be called up and they would like to rotate them in.

Treliving said it was also influenced by who was on an ELC and could be assigned to Adirondack temporarily in case we needed to recall him. Also said they want to keep the roster trim so that if we do hit injuries then we get free recalls using emergency recall without burning our 4 recalls.

One nice thing about Stockton's place in the standings is that they didn't need to do any paper transactions on Ortio, Nakladal, or Wotherspoon to make them eligible for the AHL playoffs.
Actually, considering they had the roster space after the Granlund and Hudler trades, it's surprising they didn't push through the Hathaway recall (and possibly another one) to keep the 4 recall options open.
It will be interesting to see who they use the other three recalls on. I assume Agostino and Hamilton are high on the list. Shinkaruk, Poirier, Elson, or Shore could all be in line for a look too.
