For anyone who really was bothered by Jokipakka's comments and tone in his interviews, they should watch Russell's interview with Ryan Leslie on the Flames website. He sounds so flat and disappointed. Says he is excited to join the Stars, but it isn't relfected in his voice.
This is a veteran guy who has been in the business a long time and knew it was coming for weeks. But some are judging a 24 year old who had no idea this would happen?

I'm not surprised. I think most of us are disappointed that Russell is gone.
Russell is a difficult player because he appeals to fans because hes always out there giving his all, but after a while you realize that 'his all' isnt all that good. It sure as hell isnt $5.5M/6 good.
Russell's career and financial earnings window and the Flames' window dont mesh.
So I wish the best to him.

I hope Russell does well for himself in Dallas. Clearly he wasn't everybody's favourite but I really liked him.
