Looks like Flames were smart to move Hudler early, the forward market just isn't there.
Guys like Stempniak, Parenteau, Vrbata, Eriksson, Hartnell, McGinn etc are all still available with 15 minutes left. Hard to drive a bargin when it's a buyers market on forwards.

Sellers that did their dealings early got good deals.
Everyone else looks like they're just holding on.
Obviously deals will trickle in after the cutoff time, but right now it's looking like several teams are going to be left holding onto assets that will walk away july 1st.

Yeah, in retrospect CGY did great on Hudler too.
I wanted a kid a couple of years into development. BT got two for Russell and a legit shot at a 1st.
Really good trade deadline for Flames. Anything else is gravy.
