If Pirri goes for a 6th, Jones won't even be traded.

Pirri has arb rights and his salary will most likely be under the amount you can walk away from.

BT should try to offload Wideman and Jones to Florida, maybe Tallon has lost his mind today.

Very likely it'll be just Anaheim paying for the arbitration rights, much less actual games played.

I think McGuire nailed this again
Florida didn't have a spot for Pirri but had a soft spot for him (especially Tallon as he drafted him) so traded him to a team in the West who is looking good for a nice playoff run
Tallon does him a solid here

George Richards @GeorgeRichards
#FlaPanthers had better offers for Brandon Pirri before injured ankle v Nash. Potentialy high arbitration numbers scared folks off as well.

Could have, but you have to wonder if they view Pirri's selfish playing style and lack of progress on areas of weakness as a problem in terms of building a "team". Pirri's shooting skill is unquestioned, and his skill in other areas of offense are all above average, but he's below average away from the puck, not very physical, and doesn't have great work ethic. Doesn't sound like a fit for a Treliving built team to me.

That's not even considering what arbitration could bring Pirri. Think that we just lost Russell mostly because we didn't think his salary fit in the team structure going forward, being that we will likely have to pay Monahan and Gaudreau much, much more next year...well Pirri doesn't make a lot of sense.
