Want Dallas to get Hamhuis... more power for Stars = greater chance at that 1st

Admittedly know nothing about the two players the Flames acquired but just getting a second for Russell was a solid return, the players are gravy IMO.

I agree that all GMs make mistakes. I just find it funny that so many were bidding on him, seemingly lining up to screw themselves over (according to advanced stats guys). Just seems odd that all these GMs are so blinded from the 'truth'.

Maybe it's cause I am excessively grumpy right now and I'm reading too much into it, but that doesn't scream of excitement to join our team. I hope it's just me needing sleep and seeing something that isn't there.
Well to be fair he was heading to the playoffs on a contender and now he's not...

Yeah seems pretty upset. I can't even remember the last time someone shared their disappointment publicly after being traded to the Flames

Maybe it just has to settle in

I'm sure he's just disappointed to be leaving the Stars as opposed to being mad about coming to Calgary. I don't blame him, they have a real shot at the cup this year and now his shot is gone.

Meh. Hes going from a cup contender to a non playoff team. Also guys like him aren't expecting to get traded.. So I totally get it and don't hold it against him at all.

Can you blame him? He goes from a legit contender to basement rebuilder.

It's an initial gut reaction from a guy who had no idea he was being moved. Let's not overreact. It's not a shot at the City of Calgary, or the Flames, just the current situation.

Why would anybody be excited to leave one of the best teams in the league for one of the worst teams?

He'll be more excited once he sees Gaudreau, Monahan, Bennett, Brodie, Gio, Hamilton on a regular basis.

Getting moved from the current top team in the WEST, to the 28th team in the NHL may have something to do with it. I can't really blame the guy. He'll come around, they always do.

I highly doubt you'd be excited as a hockey player going from a team looking like it's going to be in the finals this year to the team tied for third worst in the league. Professionalism has its place but the guy is young, has not played in the league for a long time and it literally just happened minutes ago. You're reading into it way too much.

Guy went from a team looking to make a Cup run to a team looking for the 1st overall pick.

If you're not competitive enough to be disappointed by that in the immediate aftermath, I don't want you on my team

Good, I'm glad he's upset. We need more players who give a damn about not accepting losing on this team.

At least he was somewhat honest about it. Might be a good interview in the future for us.

An early 20's Fin being traded for the first time can't properly express himself in a foreign language!?!!?

That sky is closing in hard.
