Enjoy Arizona Tangs.
One my favorite players ever.

Not my favourite player but man was he is fun to watch. His stickhandling is silky smooth and one of the better quicker little flick shots in the game. Yeah, he has for a trade from here once and maybe had a cry or too but whatever, good guy good player. Hell of a career.

I'd imagine Colorado is going to try and re-sign Boedker, and have a pretty good idea of what it will take, so in the end I won't be surprised if this isn't a pure rental.

Over/under on the amount of games Tanguay plays before either he fakes an injury or just sulks so bad the Yotes bench him? I have to say I am wearing a grin right now

McKenzie speculating Coyotes might not sign Bleackley and get the compensatory pick instead

Boedker is heads and shoulders above Tanguay

I would guess this is basically Boedeker for Bleakley. Tanguay and Wood are nothing.
Not exactly a stiff price.

not a chance Colorado goes anywhere in the playoffs...if they even make it
giving up a former first rounder and another prospect

You must mean 2014. The 2013 class has MacKinnon.

Bleackley would have given them a 2nd rounder if they didn't sign him

Bleakley is under a PPG in his 20 year old WHL season, hasn't really lived up to that first round status.
Tanguay is a UFA cap dump to balance out that equation.
Wood has been decent post draft and is a big d-man.
Overall not close to the premium that was being rumored for him IMO though.

Boedker overrated. But not really sure the Avs gave up much of anything here.

I would imagine Arizona would be trying to deal Tanguay right away.

Tangs was great with Iginla last year. They were scoring leaders. He had 22 goals and 33 assists or something.
Not sure what happened to him this year, he had a Hudler year.

Bit of an underwhelming trade. Avs get a player they'll struggle to keep beyond this season considering they have to extend Barrie and MacKinnon, both of whom look set to cash in.
As for the Coyotes, they get an expiring under performing vet and 2 prospects the Avs didn't even sign.
I bet they are gutted at this return, they don't seem to have got anything really useful.

Was he moved off the Iginla line?
Crazy that he's still THE guy for his team. What a beast.
