Two 2nds would be OUTSTANDING. If anyone is disappointed in that, welI I don't know what to say. Russell is a bottom pairing guy, you take that and laugh at your good fortune.
I kind of assumed if we were reeling in a Nichushkin it would cost Russell++

Not sure exactly where I sit with Russell, but when you see some of the ideas...this for a guy where half of his team's fans think he's great, the others think he suck (over emphasizing just to convey the point).

Russell is a freaking rental. 2 seconds is an excellent return for a mediocre defenseman rental.

Probably not by tomorrow but having 3 2nd rounders this draft probably lands the Flames a starting goalie when players are available for trade.

we used a 5th on him. if we get back 2 seconds that would be great. Not to mention what he did for our team last year after gio went down. Great trade

The market might be crazy after him, but GMs aren't out to lunch either. Nichuskin for a rental was a pipe dream.

Two 2nd round picks for Russell would be a very good return.

They do not. They have their 2016 2nd but not their 3rd (went to SJS in the Demers/Dillion trade). They do have their 2nd next year.

That's pretty much exactly how I see it. I honestly think it would be Treliving's third best trade after Glencross and Hamilton. Those two are pretty tough to top. I'm really happy with Treliving so far, assuming he pulls this off. Not trading him at all would be a blow, but I doubt it comes to that.
