I wonder what the going rate for Yakupov is at this point. A 2nd maybe? Highly doubt an NHL GM would pay a 1st for him.
Not that I'd want Treliving to trade for him, but Yakupov might actually be a nice reclamation project.

Meh...I just get the feeling he's a selfish player with a not great attitude. That's just my uneducated assumption. I'm glad there's no chance of him landing here.

I'd trade a 3rd or 4th to get Yakupov. Why not see if you can fix him. At worst he'll disappoint and be a marginal player. No different that what you would get in the 3rd round anyway.

Yeah EDM isn't going to ship us Yakupov for the same price everybody else is offering, they'd make us overpay slightly. Having him blossom here would be painful for them.
I'd imagine they'd ideally ship him out of the division at least.

I actually believe his attitude is decent and he does work hard. Problem is that he's gifted physically but not between the ears. His hockey IQ is in Comeau, Bourque territory.

Yakupov doesn't have attitude problems. My sister manages a DQ in Sherwood Park. They had Yakupov come in on miracle treat day a couple years ago, he showed great attitude all through the day. Then not long after that he picked up a homeless man from downtown Edmonton and brought him out for supper.
If it's one thing I don't question about Yakupov it's his attitude.
