Anyone who was worried about Johnny and Mony being off their game as a result of their linemate being traded can certainly strike that concern off their list.

Seriously the only reason the hired him was to draw in generation x and y. I'm part of that generation y and wish I could box him for 3 rounds.
The guy had some great interviews but is only brought in because of his appeal when he was on the music channels.
I hope If we ever lose Kelly as a broadcaster they give him the host job.

No. Trade Russell. We gotta let the youth play and earn their way up. When we traded Bouwmeester, Brodie got increased minutes and stepped up his play.
Our bottom 7 are plugged up by Wideman, Smid and Engelland. We have to make room to fit those kids in.

JG and Mony would put up points with me on the wing...with a big skilled RW though they would be unstoppable

I continue to believe Wotherspoon could be a great partner for Hamilton

Don't think he's ready yet, but I agree. His game would compliment Hamilton well.

I am thinking Nakcladal would be a better one out of the 2.
They already play on the power play together.

Soooo Gaudreau 62 points in his 60th game so far and Brodie has what 37 points in what his 52 Game.He still will probably beat his point total from last year while playing less games. Definitely 2 biggest bright spots in our abysmal season so far.

To be clear, I agree that if we get good value, we trade Russell.
But the real issue is what you've highlighted--Wideman, Smid and Engelland. I'd keep Engelland, out of those three. But yes, it's hard to shed the contracts of the other two.
I'd jettison Wideman and Smid ASAP, if it were possible.
