Oilers are getting surprisingly decent returns for middling players.

Penguins might actually be able to refocus Schultz. They did it with Niskanen.

I wonder if we'll see a Russell-Schultz pairing sometime in the near future?

Defensemen in general are valued way more than forwards by GMs. Russell may get 2-4 times as much as Hudler got us. I know that will blow some people's minds but there ya go.

The market for defensemen is looking pretty sweet this year. I wonder if they'll be able to cash in on either of Wideman or Engelland.

I'd be shocked if Wideman got us a bag of pucks.

I really hope he turns it around in Pittsburgh, stays with them, and scores a hat trick in his first game against the Oilers.

Justin Schultz, another cautionary tale for college kids. Sign with the team that drafted you!

Also Buffalo was the favourite but lost all their top 4 defenseman to injury in the ECF.

It would be glorious if Schultz turned into the real deal and won a Norris trophy with the Penguins.

And still only lost game 7 by one goal!

That still haunts me.

Matters not that they got a 3rd for him given their track record of failure drafting outside of the first round.

While the Oilers pay 50% of his salary. Ha. Ha. Ha.
