So where is BT?
....
He is at my place drinking beers.
Right now we are so ripped we are thinking of which best false Twitter account we can make to troll the Oilers.

What's the rush dude? Bowman is trading for veteran help and giving up some prospects or draft picks. Treliving is a seller and will probably unload veterans for some prospects and draft picks.

How can you not say that BT is working hard? As others have said in this thread, he is consistently regarded by his peers as one of the hardest-working GMs in the league. He's in New York City right now dealing with the Wideman situation, which is probably taking up much of his time, and there are still three days until the deadline.
There are also such things as 'cell phones', which can allow trades to occur even when one of the respective parties is away from their team's city. They're quite useful. Honestly, Treliving made a trade just a few days ago, getting Shinkaruk, so even your 'Lately...' non-argument makes no sense.
I think you need to come to grips with the fact that being an NHL general manager is a very difficult job that most of us are not up to doing. I have complete trust in Brad that he'll be able to trade away our valuable assets for a fair return by the 29th. Look at what he did to get Dougie Hamilton - that was an incredible trade. Everyone's praising the Shinkaruk deal, too.
By the way, one last point - are you a member of the Flames' organization? Do you know for a fact that Treliving isn't trying his darned to get any sort of deal done? What, do you think he's sipping on a Pepsi, reclining in a leather chair? I don't know this, but do you know anything regarding his current methods of conducting his business that you aren't disclosing?
Just wondering.

Anytime you can generate 80+ pages of hatred and fury from the other team's fanbase with a trade is a big win, and he's done that twice in one calendar year.

I am sure that Brad and his associates are working hard considering every possible scenario that could take place before the deadline. This is what they tell us in the interviews.
When it was time for Cammy to be moved, there was only about 10 minutes left before the trade deadline, and Burke could not get anything more than a mid-late pick with that amount of time. If Burke had prepared as vigorously as Treliving does, he would have planned several contingent deals with others teams prior to the deadline.
Burke: Was not diligent enough to consider the scenario in which Cammy had only a few minutes to be dealt. The result was losing Cammy to nothing.
Treliving: Works hard, and has likely called every GM in the league numerous times. He has probably discussed hypothetical situations with these GMs ahead of time in order to avoid getting caught off guard.
Treliving's style likely dictates that more of the trades will be made later, as they were pre-discussed before other trades took place.
