I wouldn't be opposed to a Bickell <-> Raymond trade.

A 6-4 225 lb guy to patrol the ice on the 4th line for a season would help with our size issues.

Its really not a question of choosing to deal Bickell, they have to find a suitor... Big bodied RW for basically the same amount as Jones signed to the end of next season.

We could take that contract but what's in it for the team that does take Bickell on??

That doesn't free up a lot of space for Chicago. Not sure why they would do it for this year.

It frees up a million bucks at least for them for this year and next, which what we've seen them do with their limited cap is amazing.

1. Its 850K, which I don't believe gets them the extra cap space to get Hamhuis (who they have been linked to) at even 50% retained. Maybe if they have their eyes set on someone cheaper

2. Bickell is a known playoff performer and I am guessing they would rather have him buried in the minors than Raymond unless they can get a clear upgrade added to their roster right now.

He has 14 goals this year on a terrible, terrible Buffalo team. So, yes.

"Choose" to deal Bickell?

Is this guy the AGM?

Connection? I think so. Or do I have to also point out that Teddy Purcell has 11 goals and 32 points? Playing on a #### team can inflate the stats of some real questionable characters.

Playing on a terrible team only waters down the numbers of top end guys, it regularly benefits mid-low level players.

It is a bit troubling to see more talk about Purcell and now mcginn than Hudler. Is his size and issue? We lost out on cammy in 2014 as la went with gaborik over cammy and I believe his size was a consideration as gaborik had a crummy year as well. When mirtle is saying we are asking for a second and no one is biting it could be harder to get value than we think. Especially if the second half of the second round is as poor as is being talked about.

I hope there is a team out there that sees his value and looks past the size factor and pays ups.

Another example of this is Parenteau. He's garbage, but he's been getting a lot of minutes and offensive opportunities to increase his trade value.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Back-up G updates: SJ/STL in market. Sharks may have some interest in BUF's Chad Johnson. Curious to see if EDM's Anders Nilsson in play?

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Jeff Zatkoff (PIT) another SJ may look at. Nilsson, BTW, announced as EDM starter today but is now back up instead. Anything to that?

I like Anders Nilsson. Plays an efficient game from what I have seen.

As a Panthers fan, I would far prefer McGinn over Purcell.

As far as Hudler fits on the team, it wouldn't be terrible, but there are already quite a few smaller skill guys (Trocheck, Pirri, maybe even Huberdeau), but they need a 3rd line banger who can score when the opportunity presents itself. McGinn makes more sense for the Panthers than Hudler.

David Pagnotta @TheFourthPeriod
Jets likely not done. Enstrom has full NMC, but told be multiple team execs his name is out there.

Shawn Hutcheon @ShawnHutcheon
Hearing from sources close to situation & would not be shocked if #NHLBruins do not trade Eriksson nor sign him by deadline.

Ducks look like they could use some more speed in Hudler. I hate cheering for the Oilers and Sabres tonight, but it is what it is. #tanknation
