The Kings have seen good Hudler more than anyone so makes sense. Huds pretty much put the nail in their coffin last season.

Those picks/prospects could be flipped into other assets. And Dano is a guy that should be able to play now.

Hey if Ladd can net Dano + a 1st, Hudler can net Kempe and a candy bar. IDC what the + is, Kempe on this team would be absurdly awesome.

Feels a little more appropriate to post here so it won't get lost in the Ladd trade thread.
You would think Hudler would fetch less than Ladd as he is more of a play-maker than goalscorer right now, but these guys are close on point production.
This I think sets the bar for Hudler, Boedker and Vrbata (top 3 forwards). But which teams are interested now? If Florida said the value for Boedker and Ladd (Presuming they were close in value) was too high, and Hudler is on the same level as them, I think it'll be Vrbata to Florida.
Which teams are still interested?

Yeah. Just sign Russell in free agency if you can't find a worthy replacement.
Get assets now, while the market for d-men is boiling over.

Brilliant play by the Flames. Make teams think you may want to re-sign the player, so not willing to just make a "meh" trade. Force value up.
10/10 brad well done

Dallas, LA, STL, NSH, NYR, PITT, TB(?). There's a few teams out there and the market for quality wingers is top heavy.

No first rounder though and their second will probably be late. Has to be good prospects coming back.

I think we have to take advantage of Russell's inflated value right now with the market pretty bare.
Trade him, then maybe re-sign him in July if the price makes sense.

Oh they have a few of those lying around. Adrian Kempe sits at the very tippy top of their pile.

Man I hope that "Russell might re-sign" talk is just a smokescreen. Trade him. If he wants to come back in the summer at a reasonable price then great, but after seeing the Ladd and Polak trades I'd be really pissed if the Flames didn't maximize their UFA assets ...

Yes Chevy has a good track record of trading prospects for immediate help. He is building for the future. Too bad that future will not be in Winnipeg.

Flames are probably "resigning" Russell to have leverage. Here's how it's panning out:
Team A) "C'mon Trevy, we know you're gonna trade him." "This is the best deal you got"
Flames) "Well, there's a chance we resign him, so I won't part with him unless it's a good deal"

LA doesn't have their first so I doubt they would make a splash for any of Hudler, Vrbata, or Boedker.

Kings Prospect I would like:
Adrian Kempe
Alex Dergachyov
Valentin Zykov (most likely to be a hudler clone in the future)
Erik Cernak

hmm
Derek Wills @Fan960Wills
Jiri Hudler just left the ice before any of his #Flames teammates during warm-up...he's usually the last guy off the ice at home.
Ryan Pike @RyanNPike
I've never seen Hudler be anything but last guy off. Hmmm.
