This obviously means Hiller will start next game. Ortio lost, after all.

Anyways officiating aside, how solid was Sam Bennett at center? Jooris also had a great game.
Jones and Colborne were both brutal. We need to keep Stajan in the press box, team looks way better without him slowing the pace down.
Also, if Ortio can keep this up for the rest of the season we have to give him the backup job next year.

Now Ortio is gonna ruin our draft position. Can't seem to get anything right this year.

Thought we played a good final two periods.
Lots of positive performances from some less experienced players.
As is tradition, we're somehow credited with fewer shots than we took at the staples centre.

Not upset at all. You could see the Flames get more confident as the game went on.

Didn't mind that loss.. Scorpion, hate to break it to you but Colborne is better than Jones.

I will never believe that, but I won't argue.

The Kings are a tough team, their so physical and relentless on the forecheck. The boys played a good road game but are just out matched by the Kings.
Ortio was really good, no way that's a one goal game with Hiller in net.

Hopefully Ortio can keep that up. The score flattered Calgary, especially after the first and second.
Didn't think the first line was great, but I imagine they had their hands full all night on the road. In fact, I didn't think much of the Flames forwards in general - a lot of one and done rushes. Quick had it pretty easy IMO. Ferland started well but eased off. Frolik was ok. Bennett had moments, but not that many.

Exciting play, Ortio on-point, the panel tearing into the Oilers and Kelly tearing into the refs.
Tonight was a good night.

LA's possession game is unreal. Flames can't score if they don't have the puck. That said they capitalized on the pp and made a game of it. Ortio was great, thought our D played well too.

Games that are played well by the important players on the team moving forward is the important thing. Wins/Losses are completely irrelevant.

Dude it was Jones Backlund and Bennett with Nakladal and Colborne on the point and that's a fact.
Don't argue for the sake of arguing when you clearly have no clue what you're talking about.

Entertaining game, Ortio looked fantastic.
Don't agree with the criticism for Colborne late. The top line was out right before and spent the entire shift chasing the puck along the boards in the Calgary zone. The top line was also out at the very end and had the puck in the LA zone for all of 5 seconds tops.
Bennett and Ferland panicked with the puck with the empty net and turned it over a couple times.
The Flames biggest problem with the empty net this season is we almost never get possession in the offensive zone unless Johnny carries it in. As a result we absolutely need to get some players out there that can retrieve a dump in, Colborne is one of those. Ferland and Jones should be as well.
Things fall apart when we dump it in and mess up the timing or put the puck in the wrong spot. We spend so much time with the extra attacker chasing the puck somehow.
