Yup, noticed the tequila before they showed the bottle, and that it was Ken again. I think it's ok if they use small nods to Breaking Bad, them using Tuco last year seemed way to heavy handed for me. Though, it appears we're going to see him again this season.
I wonder what the switch in his office does? I wonder if it's never supposed to be known, more of a hint to his character, or if it will have actual consequences. Like it switched off a power bar/hub for central servers or something.

Fun first episode, waiting for more.

			Episode 2 was tremendous.
I foresee a showdown between Mckean and Begley. The pianist and the guitar player.

So much to like about that episode. The squat cobbler was just the icing on the cake...or the ass on the pie, I'm not sure.

This show is amazing. I was skeptical when it was announced but it is almost perfect so far. It has the potential to be as good as breaking bad IMO, which would be quite the feat. Honestly, I think I like the first 12 episodes of Saul better than BB. I doubt we see another Ozymandias though.

I love the Mike sidestories. What a fantastic show. I get the feeling this will be like Forgo, where you can't convince people to start watching it, for some weird reason.

I liked the episode. Not overly exciting, but Odenkirk is fun guy to watch.

When Netflix picks up exclusive rights to a show in a certain region they call it a Netflix Original. The two BBC shows The Last Kingdom and River are examples of this in the Canadian region.

I know a few people who actually refuse to watch the show.

The reason? They are avid Breaking Bad fans and believe that the spin-off will taint the original, especially since it is a series based around Saul Goodman.

I haven't been able to convince them otherwise.

		| Hey, Minor League Baseball fans: better clear your schedule on Aug. 6.
The Albuquerque Isotopes, the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, are hosting a Better Call Saul night.

Fans will have the opportunity to take home one of those sweet jerseys with a silent auction, too, per the team’s site.

Have the creators ever stated when they will turn Jimmy into Saul? ive always been curious if the show plans to show Saul at all or if the series finale will be the final brick in the wall so to speak.

I see wiki says it take place 6 years prior to BB. In that case I'd venture a guess that the show never covers the exploits of Saul directly and only covers Jimmy's transformation into Saul.

They haven't. Partly because that's a big draw of the show, but also I've heard from their podcast that they really like writing Jimmy McGill right now. This tipping point from Jimmy to Saul was discussed fairly extensively during the planning and writing of S2, apparently.

Well, in one of the promos for this season, Jimmy says something along the lines of "Saul Goodman...it's all good, man".

He said that last year in a flashback when he was conning the guy in the alley with Marco.

Things are really ramping up towards next week.
Mike takes a next level job and Jimmy could lose his.

Mike's daughter-in-law seems to be lying about the danger in her neighbourhood so that Mike will get her a new place. He knows she is lying, but is still willing to risk all.

I always love Jimmy's scenes with the seniors. I have to check our "solicitation" rules and see how it compares to what they are suggesting from the ABA.

Is the submarine movie a metaphor for Davis & Main? Begley called Jimmy an arsonist.

Why can't Jimmy do it the right way? It's like he wants to get caught.

For some dumb reason, I was really hoping to see Gus at the end of the episode. But that was stupid of me and would be way too fast for the series in hindsight. Curious to see where this goes with Nacho.

Not sure of the daughter-in-law's angle, either.

great episode, it is really starting to heat up. not really sure where they are going with Jimmy's brother, to me he has been more of a distraction and hasnt added much to the show.

That Piggly Wiggly toy is the same one Mike "borrowed" to get the drop on Chris (Lydia's assassin) at Chow's house in the episode Madrigal.
