SN has ruined hockey for me. Hall scores while they are one commercial break and then the Avs are on a 5 on 3 and they have an ad taking up half the screen a good 5 seconds into the play. Bush league.

I think a smart move could be for them to trade down to draft Chychrun, pick up additional assets. Then make a package with RNH or Eberle for a defenseman.

But this is the Oilers we're talking about. They'll draft another forward cause if you have a top 9 full of top five draft picks how could you lose? It's simple math.

Not the same commercials. While Rogers gets the ad revenue, CBC is able to layer what they want on top (longer breaks, etc)

This game is like the last few minutes of an NBA game.

The Oilers' radio crew is talking about "moral victories."

Oh well, McDavid got an assist. Nothing wrong in Edmonton.

Hall certainly is not the smartest around, but he looks completely defeated out there. I never generally watch Oilers hockey for an entire game (was actually hoping they'd win tonight) but Hall struck me as having tuned out. He almost has a "resigned" look about him, or maybe that's how he normally looks.

All that losing much really take it's toll, especially since you're supposed to be a major and leading part of the fix.

If they really had some balls they'd build around McDavid/Draisaitl and trade Hall for a defenseman since he's probably worth the most out of the rest. I'm sure many teams would love to take Hall off their hands, much moreso than Eberle or RNH who would be their other big trade chips. Surely these core guys they've had around for years are starting to rot? It's well past time to shake things up. I don't think they have the balls to trade Hall though. Be interesting to see if Chia can make any more "bold" moves than MacTavish was able to. Talbot and Sekera are probably already better than MacTavish's moves lol. One or more of Hall/Eberle/RNH/this year's 1st should be dealt for defensive help.

Hall always looks like his parents are first cousins.
