Question: is he a generational player? Where does he rank on the all time list? 5th?

Just turned 44 and he's playing like a kid who's half his age.
He's also only 5 points back of Gordie Howe for 3rd all-time in points. At the rate he's scoring, he should reach that milestone in early March.

3rd best forward of all-time imo.

He looked like he is 25 out there, he dominated the 3rd against the Jets. I was hoping he would get the hat trick

Oh I agree he's a generational player. Just wanted others' thoughts as well.
Hopefully he finishes 2nd in all time points by the time he retires.

The question is will he continue to play until he passes Howe on the goal list

If he comes back next year, he should be able to pass Messier.
Right now, he's at 1845. Howe is #3 at 1850 and Messier is #2 at 1887.
He'll probably get another 15 or so this season, so one more year should be enough to easily put him into second.

Obviously yes. Don't forget he spent several years in the KHL as well. He would have even more points had he not gone to KHL.

Instead of drafting Trevor Kidd we should have trade up 5 more spots and took Jagr lol. That 1990 NHL draft was absolutely LEGENDARY!!!

I hate that Messier is second in points. I really hope Jagr passes him.

I agree. I'm not Canucks fan but what he did to them in the 90s was unforgivable. Jäger is far more humble

We've been privileged to be able to watch one of the all-time greats play. Greatest all-time European player in my opinion.

Impossible to make a fair comparison to those Soviet-era Russians, but certainly up there.

I can't get enough of Jagr. You can't predict history but this may be one of the few times in my life that a player will challenge some of the all time great's records. Pretty exciting!
