LOL @ Stantec jokes!

Slightly OT. But I'm in the road industry, and for some reason whenever Stantec gets brought up, they're often referred to as the "Dark Side". Guess that's what those punks get for having such a stranglehold on all the city work!

I'm not sure the left lane is meant for passing IN THE CITY.

Have you ever seen a "slower traffic keep right" sign IN THE CITY?

It's not just the transportation group that gets that nickname. The electrical side gets it too. The real joke, in the end, though, is that in 30 years Stantec will probably have bought out every company they're in competition with, so all of us laughing at them now will be working with them in the future.

The left lane "rule" should apply to any road that you would have no reason to be in the left lane. ie turning left like Macleod trail past Anderson (except Avineda going south) and Deerfoot.

People in Calgary also refuse to just follow someone. If I am doing 109 how many people have to pass me at 111km/h just to get in front of me?

While I am at it, if you are merging onto a road that is 80km/h, you cant get in by doing 60. So, instead of coming to a complete stop at the end of the merge lane, just ****ing speed up!
