Henderson turned over all his info. Unlike the PA though, the NHLOA warned all officials not to discuss any aspects of the case to anyone.

He finished the game. He was smiling and chatting with Wideman at one point as well.
This situation has everything to do with league politics.

It has something to do with a player assaulting a ref

Here is an excerpt from a Puck-Daddy article posted this morning on the situation;
Quote:
“He still can’t do anything because he hasn’t gone two days symptom-free,” said a source familiar with Henderson’s back pain and concussion struggles since the collision that earned Wideman a 20-game suspension.
“I don’t think he’s coming back anytime soon, if at all.”

It may be insensitive to say, but I think a lot of things are being exaggerated right now.
If that hit ends Henderson's career, Weber is lucky he didn't kill him.

Wait, so because he was smiling and chatting with Wideman he can't be concussed?
Does that logic apply to Wideman as well? Because that's the whole ####ing reason the NHLPA is appealing the suspension.
"“We are extremely disappointed but not surprised that Gary Bettman upheld the decision of his staff to suspend Dennis Wideman for 20 games. This decision completely ignores the effects of the concussion that Dennis sustained when he was driven into the boards eight seconds before colliding with the linesman. We will appeal to the Neutral Discipline Arbitrator in order to have this decision overturned.”"
Let's take Henderson's injuries at first value. Concussions affect people differently, suggesting that he's faking an injury due to politics is classless.

I think FlamesAddiction is saying that even Henderson, the person who got hit, wasn't upset about anything until the media ####storm after the game.

Has he said anything else since the game?
I'd think he'd be pretty upset now that he's out of work for a while...

The question he responded to was
"And is he actually hurt or is there union pressure for him to remain sidelined"
And his response was that the situation has everything to do with politics.

Or, it wasn't until after the game that he:
A) Saw the nature of the hit from behind.
and
B) Felt the full effects of the injuries he suffered.
If by politics, people mean unions protecting their members, do I have to point out the blindingly obvious fact that this is exactly what the NHLPA is doing also?

Yes, this is exactly what the NHL is doing and everyone is doubting them but not doubting Henderson.

Nobody said the NHLPA isn't doing that.
It's about league politics, which include the teams, players and officials associations. They are all trying to protect their interests by promoting their own narrative.

Officials could have given Wideman a misconduct after the game, after seeing the video and they chose not to. That lends something to the theory of the media ####storm changing opinions

Francis basically accused Wideman of faking it when he was back at practice...yet a fan suggesting it of an official is way off base.
Had he tripped over his own feet do you guys really think he would still be out?

It's okay though, he got the same punishment as Bertuzzi.
