It's been this way all year. Enough with the excuses.
This defense is really bad.

That last goal was totally on defensive coverage, not Hiller. He may or may not make that save, but it goes in on most goalies at least half the time. The one before - a 5 on 3, again point blank and again it's on Hiller?
I'm with the Pharmacist on this - sure Hiller is not a great goalie and not part of the team going forward, but let's put blame for some of these goals where it belongs.

He's been directly or indirectly responsible for 2 of the goals. He has some promise, but still needs to learn how to play NHL level defense.

Yes he has been, a few growing pains but hopefully a new face that can bring some consistency will be well worth it.

Coverage broke down a little, but Hiller was also out of position on his knees. He's making it easy for them.

Oh I agree he was not in the best position on 2 of those but I think the tools could be there with some more experience at the NHL level and coaching. He moves the puck very well.

I like his size and compete level too, but he has work to do to be anything more than a 7th d-man.

shouldn't an NHL goal tender give you a big save from time to time?

No 5 on 3s and no chances like the last goal that I've seen. And he let Engelland's shot in - that should have been a save. I bet if you check the Wild board, they're all over Dubnyk over that goal.
For those that hate Hiller's butterfly style, it's the exact same as Dubnyk (except he's only 6'2").

Yup. Leaving them way too much space to shoot at

From what I know of BH I highly doubt it. We are buggered either way.

Anyone wanna break down that fourth goal? I can't find the video but I feel like it wasn't Nakladal's fault (Engelland made a bad clear, then they got zone time and our center didn't seem to cover the slot).

Hiller is so bad right now, not even debatable.
