I accidently caught the last few minutes of an episode they were airing today where the coach just rips into the team after their loss.

Just watching those last few minutes really gave me a sense of how football is percieved down there in some places in the States, even high school football. The game looked like it had as many people as a CFL game (obviously not true, but surprised at the turnout nonetheless).

I went to the official Hoover High School website and was surprised to find that the football team has an entire domain registered for themselves, separately from the actual school website, with merchandise and everything.

Usually I stay clear of MTV, the vj's are horrible and the shows are too much for me. But I defintley do enjoy this show, you have to put up with a little boring high school drama parts here and there but not too bad. for someone who just came out of high schol a few years ago I was just soo amazed by just how freaking good these players we're compared to Canadian High School Football. I knew there was defintley a big gap, but nothing like this

The coach is hilarious, hard ass doesen't even describe. The team lost there first game in I think it was 30, and he met them in the lockeroom with a "I'm not sending any of your videos out to schools or putting in any words for you".

That was harsh. You know you don't lose much when after a lose on the road to the toughest team in your league (after the Bucs of course) you say that it was the worst game of football you have ever seen in your life. Wow!

The football stuff on this show is intense. The high school drama stuff kind of sucks but I guess MTV is just trying to make it fun for girls to watch too.
