Sigh , was hoping for a solid effort from Hiller (may have got it) , but that first (?) shot goes in ?
it was like the beginning of the year all over again
That Coyote team can be deadly with a lead so big and play their system very well.
need to win what 2 of 3 for the rest of the year ? Learn from it and move on.
at least the next game isn't at the Pond

What's weird is Furlett isn't even a typically a big penalty caller. No idea what his deal was these past two games.

Overall Flames were very flat. It didn't help that Hiller gave up the soft goal on the first one. I knew when that happened it is going to be a long night since Arizona will bore the heck out of the opponent whenever they get the lead. No excuses but Arizona played a lot better than the Flames. The last three games Flames were outplayed after the first period and the goalie bailed them out. Tonight Hiller was just awful. Not looking forward in watching the rest of the season with Hiller on net the rest of the season. Hiller play much better in relief than when he starts. Flames are only less than 10 points to catch the 8th place team so there's still a chance. They have to start dictating the game and play discipline hockey for 60 minutes. Goalie also have to step up and steal the game.

So now Hamilton and Monahan suck.
We've already gone through the Gio sucks PGTs, so I guess all that's left now is to declare Johnny a bust and that he's a fringe player at best.
I really wonder what goes though a lot of people's minds when they evaluate players.

I don't recall reading where anyone said Hamilton sucks. However, I find it interesting how many don't like Russell. I'd take him any day over Wideman or Hamilton. I'm also not convinced that this love affair with Johnny is totally justified. He's a puck hog, coughs up the puck a lot and may as well sit on the bench in away games.
This year is a write off. My candidates to be moved anyway possible are Colborne, Jones, Bollig, Wideman, Raymond and Hiller. I would try to keep Hudler and Russel and start using the young guys to see who has potential for next year.
But then I'm not as hockey knowledgeable as some of you. I've only been around since day one of the Flames.

It's because people use it to validate their opinions of players or coaches they already hate.

Johmny puck hog is a new one. Good job.
He's only got about 30 assists 50 odd games into the season.

Colborne is better then Monahan? Russell better then Hamilton? Now Gaudreau should be benched for away games?

I watched about 10 minutes of the game last night and was struck by the lack of cowbell, this team clearly needs more cowbell.

It's annoying enough when Jonas gets beat high. But it seriously burns my ass when he gets beat along the ice.

Solidly horrible game.
Hiller looks like he is more or less just hoping the puck hits him.

Oh it'll come. When the elite young talent on this team is making upwards of 6-8 times what they currently are, just wait for the lynch mobs to descend upon town square at the first sign of misstep.
