Umm I counted 1 goal that was a quality shot and that was only because he popped the rebound high instead of controlling it and it got wired in. He was absolute garbage. He cannot see far out shots from the line. That OEL goal was ridiculously soft and typical of him all year. All teams have to do is shoot or even float it on goal from the blueline and it is in every time. Good luck in the KHL Hiller.

How much did JG play in the third? NHL.com doesn't have the shift chart anymore. Edit: Yes they do, different spot. JG was pretty invisible. Good thing the team got 2 points last night.
|
Yeah I was curious about Johnny's ice time in the third as well. Didn't see him much.
Also was Hudler even playing?

He was bad. Ex-goalies just do not make good colour commentators-
Millen, Hirsch, Healy, Weekes.
Hrudey is an anomaly.

Didn't watch the game, but whoa, ten penalties?

For about four or five games, the Flames can't complete 3 consecutive passes without throwing the puck into someone's feet, dropping a blind pass to nobody, or turning over the puck. I'm not sure if it's just the teams they are playing or if the book's out on them, but something needs to change or else games will look just like this.
Furlatt/Hebert were a little loose in SJ calling penalties...but it just went off the rails tonight with Furlatt/Rehman. It was a pretty standard contest which somehow devolved into 19 calls. Evenly bad on both teams, mind you, but still an insane number.

Ugh.
That was somewhere between atrocious and dreadful.
They didn't help themselves a lot - too many brain farts, too little discipline and they gave Furlatt the opportunity to make the most of that. He still missed stuff on the 'Yotes but I don't think it would have mattered a bit.
The Flames were tired, emotionally spent and dismal. Blech.

Oh, he totally should have been pulled after the second or third goals. But he wasn't the reason they lost. They got completely outplayed.

That could be the worst game I've seen them play all year. Horrible from start to finish.

He probably could have let it 7 goals and not gotten pulled tonight.

Was it the same refs as last night? If so, they should lose their jobs.

The fourth goal was a quality shot by Doan after the cross crease pass.
Can't blame the goalie for that one.
That is all

Three? Sometimes they can't even make the first pass.
Hamilton must have had 8 or 10 that he blew - just either left the puck sitting somewhere or dropped it at a Coyote's feet. So maddening.
Huh? Just checked the Event Sheet and it only shows 3 giveaways for the Flames. For sure someone in Glendale was sleeping.

Just Furlatt. Rehman wasn't in SJ.

If the refs should lose their jobs for the work they put in tonight, so should the majority of the Flames players.
