I don't think this is a prelude to Lance being traded. A wake-up call for sure! (No pun intended)

But maybe this is what this team needed. Who is going to step up from this and who is going to act like a baby?

I hope Hartley reads the riot act to them if it was from over-enduldgement.

The point of forums is discussion, not intentionally causing confusion. Take that somewhere else.

Neither, it was by Spector a notch below TMZ. He must be loving it.

Plot twist: Bouma played in the Super Bowl last night as a Panther, but no one noticed him under the helmet. He's a bit cranky today.

WTF has Bouma done since signing that contract? I know he was injured a couple of times, and maybe he is playing hurt. But he has been a bummer this year.

Regardless of what his incident I would move him if a team has interest. Granlund is a better penalty killer and Bouma's one of those guys that's going to always be an injury waiting to happen. Frees up a roster spot and gives a guy like Grant an opportunity to show what he's got.

They had 5 straight days off from which they returned just one week ago.

Every team is mandated by the CBA to give all players a full day off 4 times a month during the season.

There's lots of time for getting their drink on during the season but you do have to pick your spots and the night before a practice 2 days after losing to the worst team in the league is not one of those spots.

Well if we go by the article it seems like an unspoken known that the practice after the Superbowl is to work off the booze from Superbowl Sunday.

So, you're wrong.

The whole sports media landscape has turned tabloid. Phil Kessel in Toronto was bombarded by reporters every day. Even that leaked comment from Brian Burke regarding Bobby Ryan was pathetic.

It turns out that sports fans are as crazy about their players as the general public is crazy about their music and movie stars.

we've got to speak with our votes, i voted one star - terrible, it's a bad thread.
i don't mind talking about what happened but the trade prediction as the headline buries the only news of the matter.
i propose we change the thread title to:
"practise incident elevates notoriety of soon to be legendary original poster"

Default Prediction: Bouma will be traded

This thread is ridiculous and how quickly we forget the Bouma we all loved last year
Guy has had some serious injuries this year and is working his way back I say give him a break
And besides he must be doing something right in the mentor/roommate department considering how well Monahan is doing and already an assist captain at such a young age

I truly believe that media is the primary catalyst that is turning our society into what was portrayed in Idiocracy. It just barely beat out religion for that honor.

Chicken or egg problem, but I agree it does seem to be a race to the bottom.

Religion may still be the catalyst as it drives the masses down south to slurp up Fox News, and then everyone else falls down to their level. But I still can't figure out is who's having sex with the hen.

What? no, just no.

If we go by the article, the unspoken known was supposed to be a quick 25 min practice, not to show up late because you're too hung over.

I know everyone thinks every day, every practice is some sort of perfection from these guys. But at the end of the day they are people, and some days are better than others. These guys showed up fifteen minutes before practice ie. Made it there in time. Hung over or not they were at work on time and I am assuming willing to struggle through it. Not a big deal, however if you make a habit of It, then it becomes a big deal.

They probably missed the pre-practice team meeting though, if they were coming in 15 min before the team hit the ice. And in hockey, being on time actually means being 10 min early.

I understand that they were cutting it very close, but it's not like they were strolling in 20 minutes late either. It shows that their give a crap isn't totally broken.

What a train wreck of a thread. It did give me a chuckle though. Bouma is on an unfortunately lengthy list of Flames that are not playing up to their contract this year. Trading him now would be selling low but he could be part of a bigger deal someday I suppose.
