It's crap like this that makes Cam so unlikable. Has no problem running down the other teams bench trolling the crowd when things are going good but tosses himself on the ground like a spazzed out five year old, bails on a fumble recovery when the game is on the line, shows up at the post-game in full mope mode. There's your league MVP, a five year old in a mans body. I'm no Broncos fan but I couldn't be happier for Manning. Von Miller and that Denver D were amazing.

One is not like the other. Seattle's defense was all over the Broncos, but really it should've been a pass rusher like Avril who forced Manning into the first INT and in general throwing it into the linebackers and secondary.

Smith, I think, is in Oakland was a product of being in the right place at right time, twice, two years ago.

he does need to grow up, you are right he is a great front runner, as are most people. when things are going your way, everything is great. he has to get over the mopey attitude when it doesnt go well

Not only that he chickened out of getting the loose ball even though he had what appeared to be a better than 50% chance at possession. Newton froze and watched the ball bouce around prior to that. The whole sequence will play on his mind for weeks.

Its easy to lead when your winning. Its the real leaders that come to the forefront when things aren't going well.

He's got a lot of growing to do.

Its great that he won the MVP award and put up tons of yards.

But character is either validated or exposed during the game.

I think his character was exposed and is something he needs to work on.

And I'm obviously talking onfield and not off field.

I think he was thinking the ball would get squirted out and wanted to be in position for that. And that's exactly what happened but he still missed it.

Newton's great season up in flames as the way he played today and him making a business decision in not putting himself in harm's way to get the ball is going to be all that everyone remembers.

Cam has always been a sore loser and a pouter. They just lost only one time this year, so we just didn't see it as much. The Panthers never really had control of the game, and never lead or really threatened to take a lead. Not sure why he's so whiny over it.

This is true. They only lost one game going into the Super Bowl so we really never got to see his sulking on the bench act. Worst time for it to show up on the big stage. Walking out on reporters after the game simply plays into the hands of his critics.

Newton with short answers, says Broncos did nothing special, blamed loss on sacks and drops as the reason they lost. Pretty stand up guy. Then walks off.

“It wasnt nothing special that they did,” he said. “We dropped balls, turned the ball over, gave up sacks, threw errant passes.”

Wow, what a sore loser! Also, sure go ahead and blame yourself for the turnovers and errant passes but don't throw your O line and receivers under the bus.

In contrast, Ron Rivera is being very frank and gracious.

^^The old saying You have to learn how to lose before you learn how to win sure applies to Newton here. Look at Manning and Wilson in their recent losses, they lost with class and were standup guys. If Newton is going to celebrate as he does after wins he should face the music after a loss.
