Well there you have it, a fun filled day of hockey. I've heard with this year's HDIC and how no canadian teams are in a playoff spot, HDIC stands for Hockey Disaster in Canada! No matter what, it should be a great day.

Simmonds goes in and is about to lay a body check on McDonagh, but McDonagh get his stick up and X-checks Simmonds in the head. Then Simmonds throws a punch with his glove on and McDonagh goes down like a sack of potatoes. Simmonds gets a match penalty for that and McDonagh gets 2 for high sticking and 2 for slashing.

The match penalty was a joke IMO. Should have been 2 for roughing. McDonaghs high stick should be looked at.

Ron Maclean don't look now but your old white guy is showing.

In the last hour he has mentioned that Gord Downie from the Tragically Hip is a goaltender, Greg Keillor from Blue Rodeo is a goaltender, some guy from the Skydiggers is a goaltender, and last but not least, the drummer from Great Big Sea is a huge Habs fan and also a goaltender.

Just watched it. Absolutely ridiculous.

Simmonds is coming in for the hit and McDonagh leads with a crosscheck to the head. Simmons is pissed so he throws a relatively tame gloved punch and McDonagh acts like he's dead.

Some epic Hall "back checking" on that goal. Two strides to tie up Eller? Nah, I'll just glide...

TSN story about McJesus leading the Oilers to the playoffs...they aren't even .500 with him in the lineup. Not to mention 10 points back and having played more games than anyone.

seriously, clickbait is unbearable

That's called "Halling Ass".

Groan.

Watching this game sort of passively, the Oilers seem awful keen to give up a shorthanded goal.

When you look at this Oilers rebuild, it's certainly coming... in a hurry.
