If we lose this game, can we sacrifice CI? Just something simple like burning at the stake.

"The Hurricane" will be the first man to back you up in a fight and the first to toast your victory when it's over. Duty and honor are paramount to him and he doesn't take kindly to those who show him disrespect.
At the same time, the Hurricane carries with him the calculating mind of an intellectual. As such, he fancies himself an inventor and entrepreneur. In short, the Hurricane is a thought-provoking intellectual who can be every bit as devastating as the force of nature from which he takes his name.

Wow Eric completely fanned on a pass when he had an uncontested shot in the slot. Just fire that thing bud. The new NHL.tv app that replaced Gamecenter is absolutely terrible. Can’t even watch

When the PP started I said Calgary was gonna score. Then I said it again after Hamilton missed. And then I said it again about 10 seconds before Giordano ripped one.

Is Calgary coked up? They're seemingly everywhere, with a few strides their entire forward line is making it back to check and thwart any neutral zone momentum the Canes get. They've been doing it all night.

I missed the 1st. But we looked…slow…..inept….not as engaged as the Flames in the second. They beat us to the puck at both ends of the ice. Eddie didn’t look sharp. Our offense isn’t generating much. And it will be interesting to see if we can turn anything around in the next period.
THIS is the kind of occasional stinker game this team historically throws out there, that makes some of us really question how capable we are of making a playoff run. Should we fail to beat a team well below us in the standings, who had the same break we did, doesn’t show a team really committed and capable of being a playoff team. Dropping this game which our Optimistic playoff guys/number runners have put in the "yeah we should win this one" type of game immediately hurts our progress…
This third period will tell us a lot about this team. What are they made of, what is their compete level. Good teams win without their A game. I do not think we are a good team and need our A Game to win the majority of nights, hence my skepticism of our chances. But they can prove me wrong by coming back in the third. We’ll see.

It sure sounds like it. To be fair, that first period was a snoozer for calgary but there was barely any love for pk successes

Whats strange though is last year this (road woes) wasnt a problem. We were lights out on the road, Franchise record I believe.
Not necessarily. Last season at 5-on-5 they were -12 on the road, +5 at home. This season at 5-on-5 they're -12 on the road, 0 at home, and that's including the first two weeks where they went -7 in four road games and -11 in five home games without Brodie.
Obviously special teams are the other major difference. I'm gonna chalk that one up to "their special teams were mediocre as it were last year, now they've had a full target on their backs for a chunk of the season".
I'd probably just toss luck onto there too. How many mostly well-played, close road games (Winnipeg, Tampa, Phoenix, Florida, Edmonton, Ottawa, St. Louis have they dropped?)
