The adjusted powerplay strategy worked well tonight. Different looks and more cross ice passes.

Big win with two of the Flames biggest whipping boys out of the lineup. I don't think they'd miss Russell either. Engelland had a really good game.

Gio with 20 pts in his last 18 games.

Those of you who wanted to trade him, put your hand up and then use it to smack yourselves in the back of the head

Gelinas just said Brodie has "a bad bruise".

I imagine that's close to best case scenario.

Sportsnet - Maybe Monahan was watching that game last night and saw how great McDavid was....... Honest truth...out of the mouths of really stupid people.

If I didn't pay a lot of money for my living room tv I would have hurled a brick through it.

That's pretty unforgivable by Sportsnet.

Who gives a blue s%%% about McDavid, this is a Flames broadcast

thoughts:

frolik is a guy who plays with so much pace he can look almost awkward at times.

the backlund-bennett-frolik line is ferocious, bennett is one of the most determined players in the league.

this team plays so much better with swagger, role players make elite plays when all the mo goes our way, from ramo handling the puck, to ferland flying around absolutely stapling everybody.

never been a fan of scape goating a veteran bottom six guy but stajan had me rolling my eyes all night.

hamilton is mobile.

johnny is a witch.

our ice is bad.

contracts be damned, i love the johnny monahan dominance and long may it live.

Spoiler!

I haven't been in a PGT in a while. Is the Around the League thing still a thing?
