No team is more undeserving of McDavid than the Oilers. Literally the worst sports franchise in the entire planet and they get their 4th first overall in six years. Pathetic.

This goes a long way to explaining how Oilers fans were under the impression they had seven of him.

That's fair, the number 5 looks does eerily similar to the number 29.

Good god that McDavid goal was great. I hope he pushes the grease up the standings and they end up in hockey purgatory at seasons end. Hallsy and co need to feel the pain of 9th place.

McDavid makes this team better right away. Flames don't have a game breaker like him

I don't think Oilers fans have a clue how to evaluate talent.

It's close, but I think the Oilers are worse off without McD then Flames without Johnny...

That's yet to be seen this season, but I shudder to think what offence the Flames have left without Gaudreau.

What an absolute travesty that piece of crap embarrassment of a pro sports franchise ended up with McDavid.
 Disgusting.

I am not saying Gaudreau is better than McDavid, or vice versa for that matter, but I have zero doubt that Gaudreau is more valuable to the Flames than McDavid is to the Oilersat this point , not to say McDavid won't eventually be Mr. Oiler but the Flames would be a vast wasteland of zero offence if Johnny wasn't a Flame.

This is all silliness anyway. Gaudreau is a hell of a player. I'm jealous the flames have him.

Saying that I'm heading home from hockey and I guess I have to watch sportscentre?
