You tell everyone we are looking through rose coloured glasses, but clearly you are looking through poo coloured glasses. Your hate of Wideman is clouding your judgement.
My favourite player of all time is Todd Bertuzzi, but his hit on Moore was worth every game he got.

I don't hate Wideman, but I hate his game this year, and even so - if Wideman was on Edmonton, how many dozens of games would you be suggesting?

Looks intentional. Don't expect that from Wideman. Really disappointed

So you're thinking the Flames are trading him to the Nucks?

Looks to me like he got his bell rung, was groggy, misjudged the line the ref was skating in and nailed him. The gif looks bad when you take away the entire context of what's happening, and what's what everyone is judging it on. You can tell Wideman was skating on the inside close to the boards, noticed the linesmen skating back towards the boards and moved to get out of the way, but he wasn't smart about it and nailed him.

Totally overreaction by some, especially anyone uses the words shameful and disgusting.

For those saying intentional:

What possible reason would make him do that? A missed offside?

Come on. If that's intentional I'm the king of Uzbekistan. Dude was concussed and someone should be answering for letting him play

I don't know how anyone can possibly defend Wideman after that. It looked 100% intentional. What an #######

Yeah I can't imagine any way he does that on purpose, but it really does look intentional

Lots of people voting based on a gif I bet.

Favorite player of all time is Bertuzzi? That's weird.

0 games. People who are saying he will be obviously have never been knocked on their ass real hard and got up right away. You're in another world. Dazed & confused

No way he would be dumb enough to do that on purpose. His bell was rung- Nashville feed talking about how he obviously didn't mean to do that, was just trying to get to the gate. He'll apologize and might have a fine, but that wasn't intentional. Dennis just simply wouldn't do that.

It doesn't matter who your favourite player is, and it has nothing to do with the Bertuzzi incident.

It also doesn't matter what team Wideman is on.

Zero games.

Please tell me the last time Wideman did anything blatantly cheap as you are suggesting he did tonight.

This looks really, really bad. Even if it was accidental; Wideman doesn't show any sort of concern for what just happened.

I actually can't believe he did this intentionally though. Maybe that hit rattled his head a bit and he wasn't thinking clearly at the time or not paying attention at all? Now I'm making excuses for him. Still, it looks bad.

Hockeyguy15

We'll see who's closer when the suspension is announced.

Feel free to watch the video where it shows Wideman on the bench after.

To me it looks like he's got a bit of a cut and lump on his eye. Not sure if that was from the hit but if it was there is also the possibility of being dazed and having issues seeing out of his eye.

It isn't a contest. It's a discussion.

Either

1) He did it intentionally

Or

2) He was so dazed that he didn't realize what he was doing

In each case, he shouldn't be playing next game.
