My thought to fix it is that death match participants only come from the losing team or that there is no second gio to give away or that you can't give the gio to a losing team member.

Or we just go onto the next game

We could play from here or restart or redraft teams based on new rules.

Why is it broken?

I am not against canceling outright, because the entire outcome of the game being based on a single decision made by 2 players is not really in the spirit of the game.

GGG is the 4th player to tell me it's broken

I think it's broken cause those who haven't submitted out pucks won't for the rest of the game.
It'll be 1-1 forever.

I mean, I think it was everyone's plan to try a bid a little less than what they were telling their team in order to come out on top, but when 4 of the players decide to play zero pucks the whole game, the game is broken.

I was probably the most oblivious one though - I just didn't understand why my team didn't want to come out strong in the first round and try to build up an early lead while the other team was less organized. What a fool I was.

If there are multiple winners then you can't pass a Gio. If you're on the losing team, you can still be picked for elimination. I'm not picking mrk, so if I lose I'm picking GGG or bizaro. I don't even care about the Gaudreaus. You can pass them if you want. might pass mine early and just eliminate one of you.

If mrk wants to play 2 pucks per round, it'll be up to GGG and biz to stop him. Maybe I'll play 3 pucks per round.

Teams might work when you get down to 2 on 2 and the losing team are both elimination candidates. Wouldn't really work with that game as there is not much dilemma, but still a possibility.

Its not a decision against the spirit of the game though. And it was a decision made by four players not 2. If HG had picked me on his team so that you and Biz were on opposite teams would you have played any pucks?

This game is about incentivization and all incentives in this game push you to have an ally on the other team and play no pucks. To play it differently is to work against your own self interest.
