I really hate how many American broadcast teams ignore opposition goals when calling the play.

There will be a lot of demand for depth, and not a lot of supply. This is because of how tight the standings are. There won't be many sellers and there will be many buyers.

This is why our depth guys may go for more than some of you think.
 |
Our depth guys aren't performing. End of story. GM's aren't going to pay a premium for guys that aren't showing up.

Watch the Stockton highlights onetime - the Heat announcer is probably the worst in North America for his range of calling home and road goals. He's hiliarious

I don't agree with that - he raises his voice when the other team scores.

Though he does go ultra-sonic for Heat goals.

Wow... so in the Canes broadcast they are claiming they should have challenged for goal tender interface on the Hudler goal... these guys are some kind of special to find interference on that goal.

wow, I saw Versteeg there and thought for a second it was Dany Heatley and was pretty confused ... I might be having a stroke, but he kinda looks like him. Or did, in that moment.

The Canes have a great penalty kill. Or, the Flames PP tonight sucks. One or the other.

I'd expect any PP with Wideman on it to be awful.

Yeah, Flames should have traded him last summer (assuming he would waive). I thought he and Hudler would continue their play form last year. Whoops.

Trade deadline deals are all about reaching for band-aid solutions for contending teams. Not sure how you can be sure about what the market will be and what all the other GM's are thinking.

Yeah likely we won't get a lopsided Forsberg like return but you can't tell me Russell doesn't have value, Hudler too, he's only a year removed from a career season.
