Is ownership willing to eat Widemans contract in the minors?

Granlund and Jooris do not belong in the NHL.

Looks like absolutely crap ice. No excuse for some of the over-handling, but pucks jumping off of sticks all over.

Wideman with 5:16 TOI. Will look after the second to see if Hartley is still using him after the second or if he benched him indefinitely.

The Flames haven't played well defensively but sometimes I wonder how they would do even average goaltending. Ramo is awful.

In other news, the hometown hockey segment still sucks.

Flames playing no worse than they played against the blue jackets.
The difference is the opposition.

If they're not gonna cover the game in the intermission could they at least talk about something that fans of the teams playing might care about?

Can't stand the hometown hockey stuff, would rather lose brain cells to booze then that crap... I actually really like the fact with GC I'm looking at a black screen of "The game will return the commercial break." and silence, so I can just do other things and I'll know when its back.
Although it is painful listening to some of these US pbp guys...

I enjoy them, they're nice little segments to pass the time during intermissions and nice for the communities that get them. It's cool to hear old stories from retired players and see what they're up to today.
What exactly are expecting out of them and would you prefer the typical sportsnet garbage analysis from terrible talking heads? The only time I want to hear hockey talk during the intermission is when it's the big team (Freidman, Kyrpeos, Hrudey).

Can't see that happening this year because he's not an expiring contract. MAYBE next year.

Can a coach go further then a benching? Can he leave him in the locker room or send Wideman home for the night?

GCL normally shows commercials and intermissions if SN are the broadcasters. I don't know about today though as the game is blacked out andI'mwatchingon Premier Sports.
