Jan 23 Practice
Kristen Odland @KristenOdlandCH
#Flames lines:
Gaudreau-Monahan-Jones
Bennett-Backlund-Frolik
Colborne-Granlund-Hudler
Bouma-Stajan-Bollig
Kristen Odland @KristenOdlandCH
No Ferland today. Raymond is rotating on the Granlund/Hudler line.
Derek Wills @Fan960Wills
After leaving Thursday's game with an upper body injury, #Flames Micheal Ferland is not on the ice at practice today.
If Bouma is good to go for tomorrow night, Flames need to make a roster move. Could be as simple as putting Ferland on IR or demoting Granlund to the AHL. Everyone else requires waivers to be sent down to the AHL and that player would need to be put on waivers by 10AM MT today to make it in time for tomorrow's game.

I don't think Granlund being sent down is likely if he is still centering a line in the practice before a gameday.

Yeah I'm seriously choked up about Ferland, every time he starts to get on a roll he gets an injury that has nothing to do with his actual playstyle. And this is just after he gets put with Gaudreau and Monahan FFS... and made that line look pretty dangerous too.
Just sucks.

Everyone thinks the Granlund move is the easiest but really I think the easiest move would be to waive Raymond, he's passed through before, he hasn't really done much for us aside from a couple goals. To me that's the smarter of the two to send down, Granlund is the future, not sure what Raymond would fetch for assets but I don't think he's a guy anyone needs on their team so waive him.

Easiest move is ferland on IR. Flames sound pretty definitive when they say a player won't be back from an injury mid game.

Forgot about Raymond... surely we must have someone better than him in the AHL that needs their shot... I have an idea... send both him and Granny down... Raymonds NHL ship has sailed a long time ago and Tre is just to stubborn to admit it... and Granny...

Well no Flames on waivers today, so likely Ferland to IR.

Ramo starts as per Bob Hartley. Sounds like Lance Bouma is back in.

Raymond on waivers and to the AHL is the move to make IMO. I guess only problem with that is he still has another left after this one. Hard to imagine this team paying him that kind of money for 1.5 years. So its buyout city.
Ferland to IR would mean he misses next two games for sure, then the all star break.

Send Granlund down, waive Raymond and send him down, bump Stajan to 3rd line C, call up Grant to play 4th line C.
Gaudreau-Monahan-Hudler

Johnny with skates on still isn't taller than Ryan Leslie. Who knew that Johnny could have a little fun?

It appears Johnny's finally gone feral in response to being lined up with Jones again.

I sincerely hope this ignites a tradition of the entire team videobombing Leslie as they skate by in practice

Why the heck is Bollig playing the right side. He's useless in his natural position on the left, nevermind playing the off-wing. Jooris should be playing in that spot.

On the Flames site it has Bollig at LW and Bouma on RW. One thing about Bouma, he can line up at any forward position.
