only played 2 games for the Flames, but was part of a trade that brought Joey Mullen to the Flames

The Blues traded Wilson, along with forward Joe Mullen and defenseman Terry Johnson to the Calgary Flames for forwards Ed Beers and Gino Cavallini and defenseman Charles Bourgeois on Feb. 1, 1986.

Recall that trade night clearly, a Saturday night, happened right after a Flames game, remember watching it on the news at 10. Probably first Flames trade that I remember (I was 9 at the time), where the guy coming back was a legit very good player, and it clearly seemed that we had won the trade.

Mullen my favorite Flame by far from that era, probably only behind Iginla all time.

Had to be one of few players from California back in the 80s.

I can remember this trade as well. I was like 11 or 12. Eddy Beers was a huge fan favorite and Gino & Charles Bourgeois were pretty popular as well. Joe Mullen became a big part of the team and was great in the 86 Playoffs. We always did great trading with the St. Louis Blues until the Brett Hull trade. Even the Hull trade is debatable that we won as well because we ended up winning the Stanley Cup the following year and Rob Ramage played a big role in that and the Blues never won sheet all with Brett Hull.

I saw the first game he played as a Flame. He was sent down to the minors soon after.
