Good mental test to see how she responds to being in control of the set to losing it.

That swinging volley miss is the dagger, I'm afraid.

If Genie could have won that first set, you never know what might have happened. Oh well, off to sleep.

Still a fun match to watch, and some encouraging signs from Genie

From 4-2 up, loses 10 of the final 12 games. Played a loose service game and broken at love and then it just unraveled.

Bummer. I fell asleep at 4-4 in the first and thought good things would happen.
Not to make excuses, but it was a tough second round match and she's really shown improvement over the past few weeks. She's got her new coach, so hopefully it's guns blazing moving forward.

Much as I want Genie to turn it around, she simply isn't worth staying up to watch any more.

Well, she was wearing a pretty skimpy outfit last night

Jo-Wilfried proves chivalry isn’t dead
Thought this was sweet. She had been hit in the face earlier in the match. Hope she's feeling better.

I liked the fact that Genie saved four set points in the opening set, it's just s shame because Radwanska wasn't playing all that great last night and could have been beaten. Just too many easy points handed out by Genie via unforced errors.

man you guys are troopers. I can't do the mid-week 1am match anymore in my old age. I'll do the live commentary of the final though, even if it means talking to a bunch of tumbleweeds. please god don't let it be another Djokovic/Murray rematch, also known as Nyquil delivered straight through your TV screen.
