How awesome would it be if Jarome was an 18 year old starting with the Flames right now? What a player, it really is tragic we didn't win the Cup in 2004.
Way to go Jarome, will be interesting to see what his total will be when all is said and done. It was very cool to see his teammates flood the ice to celebrate with him.

Yes and no. Huselius was here for 2.5 seasons basically:
- 54 games in 2005-06. Huselius and Iggy didn't get paired until late into the season. Iggy spent time with a bunch of different combos, including Amonte/Langkow often before Huselius and Iggy were paired.
- 81 games in 2006-07. Tanguay was brought in and spent most of the season as the top line LW instead of Huselius.
- 81 games in 2007-08. The top line was almost always Huselius/Langkow/Iggy, and they dominated. That was the season when Juice and Iggy both had hattricks in the 9-6 win in Tampa and on the same 6-0 Eastern roadtrip the top line put up 31 points in those 6 games.

Jumped Jari Kurri last night. Now has 602 and should pass Dino Ciccarelli (608) & Bobby Hull (610) this season. After Bobby Hull next up is Joe Sakic with 625, then Dave Andreychuk has 640. He should pass Sakic next season but I doubt he gets to Andreychuk.

So happy for Iggy. Did it in an era when goal scoring was down. Truly a legendary player.

I can't believe Andreychuk isn't in the hall of fame with 640 goals.
Congrats Iggy

I think he plays out this contract and then calls it a career.
Maybe one more year after, at most.

I hope he never stops playing and pulls a Jagr/Lidström until he hits 45.

I bet he'll play as long as GMs offer him a deal. He's still effective and he's stated many times how he still loves the game.
I'm still hoping for the day he signs the 1 year deal with the Flames and it's a pure repeat of 1989. The legendary player returns home and gets the Cup, while the young core leads the way, and Bob Cole making the call:
I hope one day I get to hear Bob say: You've done it Iggy. You've done it.

Not a milestone worthy of a new thread, but Iggy scored his 97th GWG tonight putting him into a tie for 6th all time with Guy Lafleur.
Probaly not going to climb any higher than 6th though:
Jaromir Jagr, 129
Phil Esposito, 118
Brett Hull, 110
Teemu Selanne, 110
Brendan Shanahan, 109

Really?
I think he will finish strong this year, like always. He will get 20 easy this year. Maybe 25 or even 30. He will probably get 20 next year too. Thats a lot of opportunity for GWGs if you ask me.

Still that's quite an achievement considering all the players that have played in the NHL. Good on Iggy for finishing that high.

It looks like around 1 of every 6 goals is a GWG, so one would think he'd need at least 70 more goals. Possible with a couple more really solid seasons i suppose, but he'd really need the avalanche to start winning more!

He also played a lot of his career for teams that didn't win a lot of games.

Jarome Iginla needs 13 more Game Winners with one more year under contract and then who knows what? Look out Espo.

Such a vintage Iginla game. Gets angry at a questionable call and then takes it out on the other team in the best way possible. Colorado should ensure he gets pissed off in every game. Angry Iggy is invincible.

It was not mentioned but, it is understood that if fighting only one guy, Engelland will fight with one hand behind his back.

I love seeing these Iggy milestones pop up every once in a while. Pretty amazing accomplishments.
