Matthews is American, right? Why does he play in Europe?

Because he can make $500k playing in Europe compared to playing in the CHL or NCAA while not hurting his draft status and play against full grown men to better his development.

He missed the cutoff for last year's draft by 2 days. He would likely making a million + in the NHL this season if he was born 2 days earlier.

So if the season ended today we would have a ~30% chance of landing Matthews, Puljujarvi, or Laine. Decent odds. Little under 1/3. That would be pretty big for the franchise.

I just ran the simulator. First pull?

1. Ottawa
2. Toronto
3. Anaheim

This new format could be hilarious.

I see. It's an uncommon situation as far as NA players are concerned so I was a bit confused.

I ran it ten times and the Flames only showed up in the top three once. More of a tragedy than comedy.

With Mcdavid coming back I think the Oilers move-up. The Jackets are getting Bobrovsky back as well, and his numbers prior to his injury were solid. I think Leafs finish 30th.

I thought Babcock was gonna win the Jack Adams and force the team to win a Stanley Cup?

The leafs will go on a bit of a late run just to screw up their draft position but still likely finish with a top 5 pick.

If you'll look at my predictions, I clearly said Trotz should win it.

The Jack Adams talk came from 1 guy who forms all opinions on "Advanced Stats".

The Leafs will be selling-off pieces. I doubt they'll have a late run in them.

Ugh, I pulled Edmonton as the first pick in 80% of my tries. Hope this isn't a sign of what's to come.

The oilers will win first overall and then all the top prospects will end up not being able to do pull ups...
