It's true. Anakin was the rightful owner of 3P0 and R2. Obi Wan was, IIRC, never the rightful owner.

Obi-Wan was a lying liar who lied...from a certain point of view.

And he was garbage at droid building. Some crappy kid was building droids left, right and centre and how many did Obi-Wan build? None.

We live on a world where people believe things that simply aren't true. And refuse to beleive things that simply are true.

It's perfectly conceivable that some smuggler, a girl given away in her youth, and a young storm trooper, living in a galactic society, had only ever heard rumours or possibly never heard of a Jedi or the force.

Maybe this has been brought up but how is it over all the years Solo never had a clue how powerful Chewbacca's Bowmaster was?

He's not supposed to be able to use it. Too much force for a human.

They did it so they could make a point of how powerful it was and that it should have been fatal to Kylo, but wasn't.

IMO, they could have done this without ticking off the deep Star Wars nerds and just have him commenting on the power, try it himself and go flying backwards when trying to use it.

Yeah, I didn't like Han running around firing it. I know its EU and all, but what made the Bowcaster cool is that it was too heavy and big for humans to use it.

I do like that it was throwing storm troopers back 10 yards (sucks for Steve though, hopefully we see him in the next movie, or one of the individual movies.

But that alone made it clear how powerful it was.

I remember it was one of the weapons in the Jedi Knight series of games, and it was a devastating weapon with a one shot kill. Plus the secondary shot a fan of blasts in a arc so it could clear a room.

Didn't the ewoks take it from chewy when they were taking them in rotj? If an ewok can carry it I think Han can handle it, even at 70 years old

He does, but like Yoda, his species can be a lot older.

According to the interwebs, Wookies live to about 400, and Chewy is just over 200. Just a pup!

I thought I saw bits of grey in Chewie's mane in Ep. VII.

I think that people are really reaching on this whole who is Snoke thing.

So I've compiled my own list with the help of the Las Vegas gambling and food preperation commission.

I present to you

Who is Snoke

1) Plagueis

This theory is based around a 30 second scene in Return of the Sith, where Darth Sidious in the guise of the kindly Supreme Chanceller continues to try to seduce Anakin Skywalker to the Dark Side with the tale of a supremely powerful Sith Lord who could manipulate the Midiclorians to save the people that he loved from dying. Noticed that he never mentioned that Plagueis could save himself. In fact Palpatine remarked that it was ironic that he could save others from dying but not himself.

From a practical point of view, I don't like this theory that Plagueis survived the attack by his apprentice, it would basically poop all over Palpatine and make him look like a fumbler with ADD.

From a behind the scenes point of view, Kasdan at a fan panel had no clue who Plageuis was, and Andy Serkas stated plainly that Snoke was something new.

Odds 4/10

2) Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker reborn

Ok, everyone seems to be focusing on the head scar and stating that Snoke is Anakin reborn, or the force ghost of Anakins evil dark side. Frankly its a more interesting theory then Snoke is Plagueis, in that SWTOR did a similar thing with Revan beging split into a light side ghost and a dark side body. If we look at the question of whether Snoke is actually a hologram or a ghost it does have merit. But again, I think that getting rid of the sacrifice of Anakin by having his evil side come back after Anakin killed Palpatine and himself to end the Dark Side evil threat would be again pooping on the OT.

Odds 1/10

3) Snoke is Palpatine

Again this theory comes up and its gathered some steam lately. Snoke is obviously badly burned and scarred and that gash on his head could actually be caused by Palpatines head vagina shifting to the side. The burns could be explained by Palpatines peerless power in the force saving him when he slammed face first into the reactor core.

But if this was Palpatine why the mis-direction. Wouldn't he be able to walk into the First Order office and say, dudes its me your eternal emperor, nothing can kill me, so follow me. On top of that wouldn't he let Kylo know that the guy who trained his grandfather is indeed alive and a fully armed and operation Sith Lord

Odds 1/10

4) Snoke is the evil part of Luke Skywalker

Luke is playing both sides of the fence or having a jeckyll and hyde moment. He's adopted the scarred appearance of his father when he's evil.

Ok, this one makes no sense

odds -7/10

5) Snoke is Ezra Bridger from Rebels

Ok, I think this is a major misdirection, but its an intriguing series. Both Snoke and Bridger share blue eyes. Bridger would probably be a bit young for Snoke, but the injuries really disguise Snokes age. We know that Ezra is going to be tempted by the Dark Side of the Force based on what we're seen. And the big reach. Ezra Bridge is infatuated with his crew mate Sabrine Wren. So maybe he named the Knights of Ren after her.

Odds 5/10

6) Snoke is Tom Riddle/Valdemort

Harry Potter killed him though right? What if Harry's spell backfired and he got flung from one disney property to another and decided to take it over. I mean the galaxy far far away is filled with muggles (People with no attachment to the force). Maybe he know that the only thing that was in his way, you know Harry Potter doesn't exist here, so he replaces some terms like magic with the Force, and bang takes over the galaxy.

Odds -500/100

7) Snoke is Oz the Great and powerful.

Well not specifically him, but what if he's a con man or a creation of Hux to placeate the first order that they have an uber in charge. I mean we haven't seen him in person, just through a 20 foot hologram. We haven't seen him use the force, he doesn't have Sith eyes.

odds 6/10

8) Snoke is just some guy

This would be the ultimate twist because Star Wars fans are craving the I am your father twist. so what better way to twist then not have a twist.

Odds 8.75631/10

Hmmm Anakin's dark side force ghost is actually kind of interesting. Moreso than the other theories anyways.

But I agree, he's likely just someone new, which is not a bad thing at all.

Is there anything in the cartoons about Plagueis being Palpatine's master? I never thought that when I watched ROTS. I always just thought Palpatine was talking about a long dead Sith. He implied the Jedi knew the story, but just didn't talk about it. Also, I thought it was odd how if Plagueis taught his apprentice everything he knew, wouldn't the apprentice know how to stop people from dying too?

No, it was never bought up in the clone wars cartoons.

Originally it was thought that he was long dead, the Palpatine had basically killed him early on.

But the book which is now non canon and not a bad book had Plagueis alive right up until the end of the Phantom Menace where Palpatine was elected Supreme Chanceller. Plagueis was deceived into thinking that he would be named co-chanceller with Palpatine because he was a fairly powerful banker.

That night when they celebrated, Plageuis having drunk some win, fell asleep, and Palpatine gleefully killed him, and then felt the force shift and declare him as the new Sith Master.

The death scene was really well done because you saw how good Palpatine was at manipulation and guile.
