How dare they lose to the Oilers!

What a disappointing effort after the first period. The PP is rancid and was one of the main reasons we lost the game. Makes you think. This team is very inconsistent. We need these games, and they are not getting it done.

Shootouts suck.

Hiller was solid. Can't blame him on that one. PP can't score. Missed Colborne for the shootout. On to the next

The flames mailed it in after the first. This is what happens without playing 60 minutes

Hiller was fine but the Oilers didn't have many good chances

Pp sucks. Gaudreau had a pretty meh game.

Talbot was strong. Hope they hand him a 6x6 soon

And yes I do think Bennett would be a better option at any position than Wideman.

Sucks Hiller was playing well but gave up a bad goal on a defenseman's shot. I did not feel good going on a shootout and my guts was right. I was hoping they could have won on a regular period or even on a 3-on-3.

Effort was not good enough after the first period, and our PP is non-existent. End of story. Flames won't get anywhere near the playoffs if they keep pissing away points against teams in our division.

I don't really see that much separating us from the worst team in the league.

Hiller simply cannot track floating pucks from the blueline. Go back and watch how many lazy floaters beat him from back there, it is ridiculous. You can't have a starting goalie that can't track pucks from a distance, I hope he starts no more games this year. Teams are going to have the book on that by now at this point, I don't see him in the NHL next year.

That just sucked. Worst f'ing power play in the league loses the game for us YET AGAIN. Credit to Talbot, he stole that one in the 1st and gave the Oilers a chance. Probably the best the Oilers have played the Flames in the last 5 years. But more so because the Flames seemed to mail it in.

Gaudreau had his chances, but didn't get the bounces and that's what it came down to. Thought for sure he'd win it in OT, but again, the Flames BS PP lost us the game. Frustrating loss that makes me want to kick over my still-up Xmas tree.

Power play was brutal.

Talbot made some pretty enormous saves.

The Flames fell asleep after dominating the first 20, but I don't think that the Oilers got a lot of great chances.

I can't blame Hiller for that goal, Backlund was a perfect screen.

Two things -

Hiller should keep starting, imo.

I hate to play "I think I know better than the coach", but I strongly believe Monahan showed enough during the game to keep him out of the first three shooters, and imo his shootout attempt proved that. Not a criticism of Mohanan, everyone has those games, but when a player's having one of those games, go with someone else.
