Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
ANA trades Carl Hagelin to PIT for David Perron and Adam Clendening.

I hate the Ducks.

Perron, Perry, Kesler, Bieksa...and they play the trap? What a puketastic team.

Ewwww! The league should move Burrows to the Ducks as a quarantine measure.

Makes sense. Hagelin did not fit in whatsoever in Anaheim and he's too good of a player to let rot.

Perron fits right in with Vancouver south.

Serious comment here, not one bashing the ducks (shocking) but I think the ducks got the better of this deal

Perron is terrible, wastes the skill and work of Malkin on every shift..

The Oilstink runs deep in him. I think the only reason why Dubnyk avoided the Oilstink was that he always played the furthest away from their rotten core (who were never interested in the zone where their keeper was anyway). Anyone who spent a lot of time around that group of forwards I fear has an irreparable & deep stink stain.

That and NJ west can go suck a bag of dicks. I hope Perron infects their group and they fall off a cliff in the standings.

So Pittsburgh gave up a 1st for him last year, now they gave the ducks two players, just how good is this Hagelin at the hockey?

Or Jim Rutherford is just MacT-level bad as a GM

Rutherford gave up Despres for Lovejoy. That's great asset management...

Gives Anaheim some wiggle room on the old cap after this season. Hagelin was signed unti 2019 and Perron and Glendening are FA's after this season. Re-signing Perron will likely be much cheaper too.

Wonder if treliving had interest in hagelin as there is a flames connection with his dad a scout for us in Sweden. Speedy winger, albeit undersized. Imagine we would have had to send Hudler (if he was healthy) and a tweener defenceman (Wotherspoon?) as a comparable to what Pittsburgh gave up.

I'm bearish about what we could get for Hudler even when he gets healthy as I don't see the rental market particularly strong. Had Hagelin been a rw and Hudler been healthy, maybe we would have had more interest. And it's debatable if Ducks would have had interest in Hudler.

Ya this trade made no sense to me. I wish the Flames could have been on this.

I speculated that Perron would have looked good in a Flames jersey. I didn't know he was actually available.

I apparently also didn't know he was a ######. What's with that? Is he a rat? I thought he was a decent middle six forward with some grit.

Too bad Rutherford wasn't running the Penguins when we were looking to trade Iginla.

As I recall it was all about bringing Lovejoy back to the Pens because he was so great in the room and everyone on the team adores him. That's some darn fine GM work right there.
