Markstrom played well for the Canucks tonight from what I saw. They were outshot 40-22 and still won.

Kane got his first career regular season hat trick (he's had two in the playoffs).

Stars looking down and out, dead in the water. Losing 4-0 to the Ducks.

Wow! Can't believe it's taken a guy like him this long to get a regular season hattrick. It was similar with Shane Doan though... He only got his first NHL hattrick like 3-4 years ago I think.

Man, we just can't get any luck on the OOT lately. We have games in hand on Vancouver at least. Unless the Flames can string together a few wins on this road trip, it's probably not looking good for playoffs.

Said it before, but no point getting worked up about the OOT when we're 4-8-1(and 2 of the wins came against the tire fire) against the teams in our division. No excuse given how poor the Pacific has been outside of LA(who we've played once so far).

imo opinion we have to go at least 4/5 on this roadtrip to be in a good spot, 3/5 is meh and puts us basically where we are right now. imo if we win 4 at least in this roadtrip we make it any less i doubt it. good thing is all the games are against weaker teams except the back to back where we face dallas and a hot canes team.

at on

The Ducks lead 4-1 late in the second period. Anaheim scored their goals soon after the other one and all in the first period. The first pair of goals were 31 seconds apart. The second pair of goals were 33 seconds apart. The Stars' Janmark scored a shorthanded goal early in the second period.

at on in the USA and it will be repeated on that channel.

The Blackhawks win this Original Six game 4-1 and it was the Patrick Kane show! He had four points, a hat trick and one assist.

The Lightning defeat the Penguins 5-4 in overtime. Namestnikov with the hattrick!

The Sabres score first in the opening period and that was it for Buffalo. The Bruins went on to win 4-1. Gustavsson was in net for the Bruins as he faced 34 shots.

Jamie Benn scores on the power play, 4-2 Ducks with eight minutes left in regulation. The Stars still twinkle, can they come back?

many pacific division teams had poor starts...but now all except edmonton are beating teams outside the division on a regular basis

division really isn't that bad they wild card teams aren't that far ahead anymore

Edit Vancouver and Anaheim are one point back of the 2nd wildcard

remember when pacific teams didn't have a chance to get a wildcard according to the talking heads 2 weeks ago
