Glad to see two Flames going. Did they release the final balloting numbers? I've looked around and can't find them anywhere,

I agree Brodie deserves to be in the All Star because the guy can skate so well and he's well suited for 3-on-3. At least Flames are represented by 2 players.

Anyone who voted for this idiot should be ashamed of themselves. Oh, and Steinberg can get bent. If people want to vote for a loser to play in the All Star game as a joke at least make it someone likeable who can take a regular shift. Several Coyotes were actually deserving to play in that game.

Arizona Coyotes tough guy John Scott, voted as one of four captains for the NHL All-Star game, was sent to Springfield of the AHL on Wednesday after clearing waivers earlier this season. The Coyotes sent Scott down to make room on their roster for defenceman Kevin Connauton, who was claimed off waivers from the Blue Jackets.
Arizona coach Dave Tippett said Scott will likely be back with the Coyotes in the next couple of days, allowing him to participate in the Jan. 31 All-Star game in Nashville.

They have actually sent Scott down every 30 days this season for roster flexibility. He will be sent down 30 days from now as well.

He actually got sent down this time though. Recalled another player from the AHL. Wonder if Gaudreau is a captain now?

John Scott is a great interview and really likable.
He's going to do well with this attention.

No, he was sent down because the claimed Connauton off waivers. They also said Scott would be back up in a few days

In a way it's almost appropriate. Fighting, and especially the use of the enforcer/goon/designated fighter has suddenly disappeared almost entirely. Scott is virtually the last of a dying species. It's like putting the last dodo or passenger pigeon on display.

unless you play on another team and he decides to injure you with an extremely stupid play that doesn't belong in hockey.
He's going and that's that but I really hope he does something stupid and loses it on someone and injures them. That'd be great for hockey.

That cry baby thing is awesome. I can't wait to use on those people who are going to complain that the league is taking too much control over the game instead of letting the fans have input.
I just don't get the fascination with trying to ruin the all star game. If you think it's dumb or terrible or negative in any way, just ignore it and let the people who like it enjoy it. It's ironic that the people who are acting like babies and ruining things they don't like are calling other people babies.

If John Scott wasn't voted in, OEL probably would have made the team...which would have likely meant Giordano wouldn't have. So maybe be thankful we'll have two Flames in this game thanks to this.
