Money sent last night, I also sent cash for an additional share this morning. Please let me know if this is fly CgyGeo.

Participation got very busy tonight and we're up to 55 shares. We should be good for around 600 tickets.
|
Just curious, can those be bulk bought? Or does someone have to enter 600 ticket buys? That could take awhile...

If this is true, then I am glad that lawmakers are protecting us from stuff like this as it is almost as dangerous as terrorist groups and what not

This article seems to suggest the same thing.
If you leave the tickets in the US though, and then go back to get them I think you'll be ok.
So a PO Box type thing?

That would be people bringing their winning tickets back to the US? Otherwise how would the US Border Officers be involved?

Good question. I copied and pasted most of that from the RFD site. But after re-reading, people would be crossing Canadian customs to re-enter the country, which would have nothing to do with the US customs.

As per CJAY 92, there's a 2 hour wait at Alberta/Montana border right now. Hopefully, Mike got there early.

My uncle went down to Sweet Grass to buy some tickets, waited 2.5 hours in line to buy them. That's not including trying to get across the border.

Interesting article on buying all 292 million combinations of the tickets:
http://www.theatlantic.com/business/...ations/423930/
Would be worth doing if powerball got up to $3B.
Issues include:
- Logistics of getting each combination
- Logistics of checking and signing each ticket
- Risk of not getting the full lotto amount (splitting)

Just read that about the confiscation of tickets at the border. First of all that's stupid and they would never do that. It's not illegal to buy tickets as a Canadian and the tickets are worthless until after the draw, so there's no monetary value associated with them (except for what you spent on it), which you wouldn't have to declare until you went to claim the prize and bring it back across the border to Canada.

Guys, if you want to discuss the border issues with tickets for the third time in this thread, please be sure to read the entire thread. We are going in circles here.

I hope that CP wins enough to make that a reality...without my share though!

Picked up $1200USD worth. Left them down in Sweet Grass for safe keeping. I will send out pictures when I get home. Wait at the border was 20 minutes, wait to get tickets was just over an hour.
